Opportunities are open to volunteer as tour docents, garden volunteers and special event helpers. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer print out the Volunteer Application and return it to the Drum Barracks.
Docents act as museum guides, and play a major role in presenting the Drum Barracks Civil War Museum to the public. Docents undergo a five week training course which involves lecture, special reading and behind the scenes access, to prepare them to share the Museum and its history.
The docent training program is offered annually in the Spring. If you are interested in the docent training program call the museum at 310.548.7509 or complete the Volunteer Application and return it to the Drum Barracks Civil War Museum at 1052 N. Banning Blvd, Wilmington, CA 90744.
